First half of 2017

The first half of 2017 has been outstanding for KAH Bay Area, thanks to our magnificent volunteers.  Fifteen thousand volunteers have packed more than 1.25 million meals which were shipped worldwide to India, Philippines, Haiti, and to help Syrian refugees, plus locally to support Feeding America.  The first half of the year has been amazing and with so many events already booked through the rest of 2017 we anticipate sending more than two and a half million meals to hungry children and families around the world.

What are you doing this summer?

hugh bishop

Hugh Bishop and his two sons, Sebastian and Eric, have finished the first leg of their cross-country bike trip to raise funds for Kids Against Hunger.  They have gone 801 miles, from Massachusetts to Cleveland this summer and will be continuing westward next year. They hit 4 states, had 3 flat tires, and climbed a combined 38,732 vertical feet saying they had a great time and can't wait for next summer  to continue on their way! Thank you for your fundraising trip and for bringing attention to our efforts to fight starvation and malnutrition around the world.

May the wind be always at your back and may you have a wonderful ride.

Feeding kids in India

We ocasionally get thank you letters from our volunteer packers.  This particularly insightful youth has firsthand knowledge of families and children struggling in India.

KAH letter

The first shipment of food has been distributed in India and our sponsor reported: We were able to send this to few churches and orphanages and the kids just love the FOOD. Many recipes have been invented, spiced up and overall it fills lots of stomachs every day. Thank you for partnering with us on this amazing work. Your help is so appreciated in this part of the world every day. Our food is going to Children of Faith in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India
